Where is The Quilted Skein located?

We’re located at 126 W. Colorado Street, La Grange, TX 78945 — about 90 minutes from both Houston and Austin.

What are your store hours?

Wednesday–Saturday, 10:30 AM–4:30 PM, and Sunday 12:00 PM–4:00 PM. We’re closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

Do I need an appointment to visit?

No — walk-ins are always welcome during regular store hours. For large groups (10+), please call ahead at 979-968-8200 so we can make sure we have space for you.

Do you offer classes or events?

Yes. We regularly host quilting and knitting classes and events for all skill levels. Check our calendar of events for upcoming dates, or register online.

Do you ship outside the United States?

At this time, we only offer domestic shipping within the United States.

Do you offer local pickup?

Yes — choose local pickup at checkout and collect your order at the shop at 126 W. Colorado Street, La Grange, TX. Orders are usually ready within 24 hours, and we’ll email you as soon as yours is ready.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.

Will I be charged sales tax?

Yes. Applicable state and local sales tax is added to all orders based on the shipping destination.

What is your return policy?

If any product arrives damaged or flawed, please contact us and we’ll make it right with store credit. Full shipping, returns, payment and privacy details are on our Shipping & Returns page.

How do I start a return?

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes — eGift cards are available for purchase directly on our site and make a great gift for any quilter, knitter, or maker.

I’m new to quilting or knitting — where should I start?

Stop by the shop and our staff can help match you with the right fabric, yarn, and notions for your skill level, or browse our blog. We also recommend checking our class calendar — many of our classes are designed specifically for first-time quilters and knitters.

How do I know what yarn weight I need for a pattern?

Your pattern will specify the recommended weight and gauge. From there you can browse our yarn by weight to find a match.

Do you carry kits for beginners?

Yes — we offer curated quilting kits and knitting kits that include everything you need for a specific project.

Can I see fabric and yarn colors in person before ordering online?

Yes — we always recommend visiting in person if you’re able, since screen colors can vary. If you can’t visit, feel free to contact us with questions about a specific colorway before you order.
